WEST AFRICAN LOGISTIC AND EQUIPMENT SERVICES NIGERIA LIMITED (WALES)

Wales African Logistic and Equipment Services Nigeria Limited (WALES) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Negris Limited, involved in large project based logistics. WALES started operations in 1986 as Capital Services Limited (CSL). Its scope of services included:

Shipping
Clearing and Freight Forwarding
Travels and Tours
Manpower Supply

As CSL, it used to cater for medium-sized institutions, private organisations, and limited liability companies- but over the years, it had broadened its customer base to include companies and conglomerates such as Central Bank of Nigeria, Cadbury Nigeria Plc. and Solar Turbines Services Nigeria Limited.

The change of name from CSL to WALES came as a result of the recent alliance between Capital Services Limited and Osprey Shipping Limited of Newcastle in the United Kingdom- a renowned shipping and Logistics Company. The compelling driver for this alliance was the fact that both companies were in the logistics business and had mutual beliefs and synonymous visions in the benefits of global operations.

This led to a streamlining of the company’s services. It decided to focus solely on the logistic arm and dissolve the Ticketing (Travels and Tours) aspect.

In the past years, WALES has evolved from just a medium-sized logistic firm to a dependable partner in the provision of comprehensive logistics services including:

Management and Movement of multi-scale tonnages to project specification
Design, Engineering Advice
Haulage of General Cargos
Provision of Heavy Lift services (Cranes, Megalifts, Trucks, Trailers)
Provision of General Multi-modal Transport operations

The edge that WALES has is its size and efficiency. Being a subsidiary of Negris, it can call upon the experience, expertise and manpower support of the whole Negris group, whenever the need arises.
