To provide cost efficient and reliable power using appropriate environment friendly technology and highly competent and experience technical manpower.

Background

The Energy Company Nigeria Plc, or ENCON as we prefer to call it, is an independent power producer with proven expertise to  provide dependable power to the national grid and also for companies who wish to out-source power generation to specialist providers.

ENCON was established as a direct result of the deregulation of electricity supply industry in Nigeria. Benefiting from the track record and technical pedigree of the parent company, Negris Group, in the area of power production, ENCON became one of the first companies to secure a licence from the Federal Government to operate as an independent power producer (IPP).

In our determination to meet the needs of different categories of electricity consumers across the diverse sectors of the economy, we have carried out detailed studies and analyses of the business environment and consequently, formulated appropriate strategies.

These strategies are for captive inside the fence plants, captive industrial clusters or on-grid power plants.

These are as follows.

• Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT)

• Acquire and Operate (A&O)
